FlightStatus v1.02 Size: 78 KB Date: April 5, 2005 (Updated) Type: Freeware Min. Requirement:
• Any hardware
• Palm OS v3.5 Download:
• fltstatus.zip
Author:Andrew Faber Email: n/a Description:
Retrieve from the Internet live Flight Status for most all commercial flights which operate in the U.S.
Over 70 airlines are supported. All you need to know is the airline and the flight number.
Flight Status will do the rest. Also included is a flight number lookup feature - useful when you don't know the flight number and an airport/city lookup table.
Features:
This software is useful whether you are trying to catch a flight or as an aid when picking someone up at the airport.
This program supports any Palm OS device that has an Internet connection (SmartPhones such as the Treo and Samsung lines, Wi-Fi enabled palms and bluetooth enabled palms that have Internet access via a bluetooth enabled cell phone.)
This software is about 10 times faster than using your palm's conventional browser to get this information.
This software was written by a high school freshman and is being offered as freeware/begware. No subscriptions, no fees.
This software is handy when you need to pickup someone at the airport. It will tell you very accurately when the flight is going to land or when a flight is estimated to take off. NOTE: All actual departure times are the time of takeoff not the time the flight departed from the gate. Actual arrival times are the time of landing not the time the aircraft arrived at the gate.
This application is a palm application not a .pqa.
Update Description:
v1.02:
- Check the time it takes to clear Atlanta Security in real time.
